DESCRIPTION:A panel of children’s book authors and licensed mental health professionals have come together to provide a wonderful workshop! \nDuring our panel discussion we will celebrate the many aspects of Black family joy while sharing tools that can be used to promote parental connection via storytelling. Dr. Melissa Boyd will talk about teaching our children healthy coping skills. Author Ciara Hill\, LPC\, LCPC will discuss a range of fun\, bonding activities that can be done at home for children of all ages. Dr. Nicole Christian-Braithwaite will talk about Black family wellness overall and Emely Rumble\, LCSW will share stories that center Black family joy and wellness across the African Diaspora. All families will have access to a book list and activities resource list provided during the presentation.
